09.25.15 - AROMALEIGH: FATALIS Collection + Videos

It said that it would ship on October 1st, but mine shipped a few days ago. I just received it yesterday.

Here it is all bundled up. The little baggie are some extra samples including a gift with purchase.

Here's all the label art for the Fatalis Collection

PLEASE NOTE: NONE OF THE PHOTOS HAVE BEEN EDITED! Usually, I brighten the photos a bit because of lighting and enlargening the photos. But, I thought you'd like to see them as is. I took the photos and videos starting from: 2:25pm - 4:31pm

Everything is swatched on UDPP and in indirect sunlight (by my window). My camera is a SONY Cybershot DSC-HX50V (used for the photos and videos)

Why am I writing all that? It's because I wanted to show you that I don't have any special light (I really don't, lol. I wish I did), camera, and etc. to create these effects. There were people that already posted swatches of the photos in different types of lighting. But this is just the lighting I have.

09.20.15 - 20 Random Facts

20 Random Facts

(About boring ol' me ^_^)
[Since I can't sleep at the moment... :P]

  1. When I was in elementary school, I never knew what my middle name was. Whenever our names were posted I would see "Linda L. [Insert last name here]" and I always assumed it was "L". I only found out in high school. (LOL) It's "LING", btw.
  2. A lot of people mistaken my race and think I'm completely different from what I am (Chinese).
  3. I was hit by a car when I was in the 3rd grade. It was a foggy day, and it happened near my house. I was wearing a light colored jacket. My Mom crossed the street, while a car waited. I had just tied my shoelaces since they had come apart. The lady's windows were a bit fogged up. After my Mom crossed, I started to cross and she thought there wasn't anyone else and drove into me. I fell down and blacked up for 20 minutes (?). When I woke up, I heard my mom screaming in really bad English at the lady (she lived across the street from us) and the neighbors all around stood and watched and didn't help. I remember thinking "Why didn't my neighbors come and help?".
  4. I've been working since I was about 8 years old. My parents owned restaurants and because my brother and I were young, they would take us to the restaurant on the weekends and help out (we'd just ring up customers ^_^; ). I think it's because of that that I like to be stay busy. I haven't had a day off since I moved here because since we've moved here, my parents decided to quit the restaurant business.
  5. I got into anime/manga when I was in middle school. My friends were really into it and I had no idea what it was. So, they introduced me. Back then, anime/manga wasn't popular here. My cousin started getting into it and helped us get a bunch of different anime through fansubbers. How that worked was buying blank VHS tapes and sending them to the fansubbers where they'll mail you copies of them back.

09.12.15 - Where have I been? (Life Update)

I feel like I haven't blogged in awhile. Right now, I'm supposed to be asleep since I have an opening shift at my job tomorrow. But, unfortunately, I can't sleep.

So what's going on?

My life has been.... hectic? I guess. As some of you know, I work full-time as a Customer Service Supervisor in a big electronics store. I'm the second in charge in my department. A few months ago, our corporate office decided that the supervisors' schedules won't be made by our department managers, but by them (corporate office). It caused a big problem for a lot of the supervisors who have kids, go to school, etc. "Lucky" me, I have open availability. And that meant, I haven't had a regular schedule in ... almost a year. My schedule is different every week and because of this, my sleeping habits are just...terrible.

Because of the schedule changes, two of the full-time supervisors have decided to become part-time. So a lot of the duties got passed onto the rest of the full-timers. (Btw, we have 6 supervisors in total; we're actually supposed to have 8) Then, one of the other remaining full-timers got fired for doing too many mistakes. That added onto more stress for us. Thankfully, they promoted one of our cashiers to be a supervisor. But that meant we had to train her extensively because it's a lot different than being a cashier. I got the lovely task of that. I actually like training new supervisors. :P

As of this week, one more of our supervisors is going part-time. Supposedly, they promoted another cashier and he starts as a supervisor next week. Who knows...I just know that I'm tired.

Now, onto my store or anything that has to do with it.  I've been working a lot on subscriptions and only that. It makes me a bit sad because I have so many collection ideas, but honestly, I don't have the time to work on anything else. I can't even photograph the extras to put up in my store.

This month, I'm extra busy because: I need to make 2 custom colors for two different stores, my subscription of course, my Halloween Collection, and my Card Captor Sakura collection that I keep pushing back because of my work schedule :(

Planners. I still use planners. It's funny that I stopped posting my Week in Reviews since I started using the Erin Condren Life Planner (or ECLP). I started using it in July. I really liked it...ONLY for decorating Honestly though, it doesn't work for me. I need to do a lot of forward planning and that planner (to me) seemed like it was only in the present. Also, there was no room for notes/different type of inserts that I needed. Because of this, I made the sad decision to move back into a Filofax. I don't know if it's sad or not actually. Lol. I just don't have planner peace and I felt like planning in the ECLP was too difficult for my needs. In fact, I feel like when I used the ECLP, my head has been more scrambled than organized.

I think I need a vacation... I have to be up in 4 hours. Yay -_-; What a depressing update lol.
